Realtors Settle Commission Lawsuit for $418 Million

Various news outlets are reporting that the National Association of Realtors announced that a settlement has been reached ending litigation claims brought on behalf of home sellers related to broker commissions. Under the terms of the settlement, the NAR agreed to pay $418 million. Click here to read more.

Is the CTA Unconstitutional or Not?

Jeff Watson says small businesses across the United States were rejoicing upon hearing the news that a federal judge in the Northern District of Alabama, in a case brought by the National Small Business Association and Isaac Winkles, a member of the NSBA, had ruled that the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) was unconstitutional. A few days later, the judge clarified his decision saying that his decision only applied to the parties in the case before him. Click here to read more.

Inflation Comes in at 3.2% in February

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics is reporting that the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U) increased 0.4% in February, 2024. The all items index was up 3.2% for the 12 months ending in February. Click here to read more.
