New Home Sales Up 6.4% in August

The U.S. Government is reporting that sales of new single-family houses in August, 2026 were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 684k, which is 6.4% higher than July’s revised rate but is 2% lower than one year ago. Click here to read more.

Foreclosure Activity Stays Above Year-Ago Levels

According to ATTOM Data’s August 2026 U.S. Foreclosure Market Report, there were a total of 40,277 U.S. properties with foreclosure filings (default notices, scheduled auctions or bank repossessions). This figure is up 1% from one month ago and up 13% from one year ago. Click here to read more.

Sell Now and Pay the Taxes Later
